The Value Chain Canvas Goes AI-Accelerated with Catalyst

We’re bringing Catalyst to the Value Chain Canvas, following our AI-accelerated Lean Data & AI Strategy Workshop. This adds a process-focused perspective to our growing set of AI workflows for Data & AI Business Design on Miroverse.

The Value Chain Canvas shows how process steps connect and interact. We explore AI opportunities in individual activities and at their handovers. These connections can reveal ideas that are difficult to recognise when considering one step in isolation. This offers an alternative to using the Business Model Canvas as a baseline, and the two perspectives can complement each other.

Catalyst helps develop the process overview and use case ideas within the canvas. With having AI Acceleration inside the Miro board, now people can better collaborate with AI, and still can contribute their experience of how work actually moves between activities, including process dependencies and exceptions that documents may not capture.

More templates will follow, every week, while we develop Catalyst as an open-source MCP server, with the aim of making our methods available through different compatible AI tools. The Miro workflows let you apply them today and contribute feedback as we build in public.

The accompanying demo video shows the Value Chain workflow in practice. Try the template with one of your processes and share your experience through Catalyst Co-Creation to help shape what comes next.

A Love Story: Miro+Lovable

I saw it for the first time in New York at Miro’s Canvas 25 conference: a Miro board was instantly turned into an app in Lovable—impressive! Last week, Miro asked me if I would like to test the MCP integration Miro+Lovable myself—as one of ten community members worldwide! Of course, I said yes. In this blog post, I’ll share my journey, my learnings, and, of course, the result: a ski race app. ⛷️
