AI Eats AI.

We often think AI disruption only affects others. We talk about how companies need to transform themselves. But we only mean other companies in other industries. Not our own company or the tech industry itself.

However, the current wave of AI affects the tech industry itself and first. Software ate the world. AI is eating software.

We at Datentreiber are also seeing the change. We used to hold workshops to heltp companies design a data & AI strategy. Now, data & AI managers simply use AI to generate a data & AI strategy (and might get AI slop instead of AI strategy). Either-or is not the right way.

Co-Intelligence Over Super Intelligence

We believe that the successful way is to combine team intelligence and artificial intelligence into collaborative intelligence. And we are not alone. The topic of co-intelligence was also a focus at Miro’s Canvas 25 conference in October in New York, which we visited as nominated Creator of the Year and newly appointed Miro Solution Partner.

Prof. Ethan Mollick, speaker at the conference and author of the bestseller “Co-Intelligence: Living and Working with AI”, used a variety of examples to show how humans and machines are more successful when they work together. We highly recommend this book and have also written a review of it.

Miro for AI and AI for Miro

Also at the Canvas 25 conference, Miro introduced its new AI for co-intelligence: the AI Canvas. The canvas becomes the context for the AI and all elements of a Miro board can be part of a prompt for the AI. Also, the two main AI features, AI Sidekicks and AI Flows, can create any type of content on the Miro board: sticky notes, docs, tables, images, videos, and even clickable prototypes!

AI Sidekicks are virtual, intelligent teammates that can perform specific functions such as acting as an AI advisor and providing support during workshops, for example. AI Flows are Miro’s Agentic AI, which can be used to automate complex collaboration processes on Miro boards with LLM-powered AI agents.

You can watch the presentations from the conference on YouTube. I particularly recommend the keynote about the major Miro updates. The AI canvas is just one of the most important innovations. Miro Insights, Miro Portfolio, Miro Prototypes, and MCP integration with Loveable, for example, will greatly accelerate product development and strategy implementation.

AI4ME: Your AI Advisor for Your Personal AI Use

As a Miro partner, we have been testing Miro’s new AI features for about two months now. The result: AI4ME, an AI-powered advisor for personal use of AI. AI4ME is a free Miro template on Miroverse that not only uses AI itself, but also helps users make better use of AI.

You answer a few questions about your personality, goals, challenges, and data, and receive tailored recommendations for AI solutions that will help you achieve your goals and solve your challenges.

To achieve this, AI4Me utilizes Miro AI, specifically AI Flows, to generate an user profile, an OKR dictionary, an AI use case catalogue, AI solution recommendations and a Kanban board for the next steps. It also provides an AI Sidekick to guide you through the questionnaire.

Mironeers Meet in New York, Zurich and Next Munich.

We have already presented AI4Me at a Miro Meetup in New York and in Zurich, and at a virtual Miro Lunch & Learn, and received very positive feedback. We would also be delighted to receive your feedback, questions, and a ♥️ from you on Miroverse.

The next Miro Meetup on December 11 will take place in Munich—at the new Miro office at Viktualienmarkt! There, we’ll show you how to use Miro for AI and AI for Miro. There is also a demo of AI4ME, of course. Participation is free, but the number of participants is limited. Please register on Luma.

AI Lets the Work Flow.

The Miro AI features are currently still in beta testing. However, we are already working on improving our numerous tools & templates on Miroverse with AI Sidekicks and AI Flows. Instead of having to choose between workshopping with your colleagues or working with AI, you can combine human and artificial intelligence.

Because workshops are important for getting the implicit knowledge of the stakeholders onto paper or the Miro Board. Workshops encourage involvement, involvement leads to acceptance, acceptance drives transformation.

To support you in your workshops, all 21 of our canvases for Data & AI Business Design are freely available: You can print the canvases from PDF as posters or load them as PNGs into your favorite whiteboarding tool, such as Mural, Miro, or Conceptboard.

In addition, we also publish selected workshop formats as free Miro templates, for example, Lean Data & AI Strategy Workshop and Multi-Agent System (MAS) Design Workshop. Further workshop formats and templates are available in our paid Data & AI Business Design Bench, including Data & AI Quick Win Workshop, Enterprise Data & AI Strategy Workshop, and Data & AI Product Design Sprint.

We are happy to support you as facilitators and advisors!

Datentreiber Goes to University.

The nearly 100 participants in our New York AI Week lecture at New York University agreed on this point: an accepted strategy is the key driver for transformation. The two hours in the large auditorium of the NYU Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences were filled with a keynote speech by Professor Dr. Anasse Bari, a demonstration of our Lean Data & AI Strategy Workshop format by Martin Szugat, and insightful discussions with the participants.

Because time was running short at the end and the participants wanted to do a joint and interactive exercise with our Lean Data & AI Strategy Workshop template, we scheduled another virtual meeting as a Lunch & Learn on Friday, November 28 at 1:00 p.m. US Eastern Standard Time / 6:00 p.m. Central European Time. Registration is free on Luma.

More to Come

And that’s not the only upcoming event. Subscribe to our calendar on Luma. Numerous other events and offers await you, for example:

  • Hands-on, practice-oriented training courses for Data & AI Design Thinking and Consulting (available as an open or in-house seminar, online and on-site, in German and English)
  • Let’s be “Playing AI to Win the Business” at the exhibition at the Machine Learning Week Europe conference and win a free training session with a little luck.
  • For people from southern Germany: Aufwärts is a Business Walk & Talk format where we talk about joint business opportunities while walking in the mountains together.
  • For skiers: during the winter season, Martin Szugat hits the slopes every Saturday and invites you to join him for expert discussions at “KI auf SKI” (“AI on Ski”).

We hope to see you at one of our events or in our open and free Data & AI Business Design Community.

A Love Story: Miro+Lovable

I saw it for the first time in New York at Miro’s Canvas 25 conference: a Miro board was instantly turned into an app in Lovable—impressive! Last week, Miro asked me if I would like to test the MCP integration Miro+Lovable myself—as one of ten community members worldwide! Of course, I said yes. In this blog post, I’ll share my journey, my learnings, and, of course, the result: a ski race app. ⛷️
