What Happened to Data Strategy Design?

What happened to Data Strategy Design and the Data Strategy Design Kit? It has evolved into Data & AI Business Design and the Data & AI Business Design Kit.

The Data Strategy Design Kit started ten years ago with just a few canvases, but now there are over 20 canvases plus additional management tools and workshop templates.

Although it was intended for designing data strategies only, we and others have also used it from the beginning to design data and analytics solutions. Over time, new areas of application were added: team strategies, data architectures, team operating models, AI strategies, AI applications, IT strategies, and much more.

Then we realized that the method and the toolbox were so much more than we had originally conceived. That’s why we renamed it to Data & AI Business Design. Because it’s all about using data & AI to create better business.

As part of the renaming process, we have also made many minor and a few major improvements to the canvas. Which ones have you discovered so far?
